  • 1 of 45 students accepted into the three-year longitudinal program for Baltimore City students interested in the health care professions who come from populations underrepresented in medicine.

  • Participated in weekly courses focused on health equity, leadership development, science literacy, research proficiency, and college/career preparedness.

  • Helped recruit upcoming scholars, planned community events, and gave insightful ideas for the upcoming year in MERIT Health Leadership Academy

  • Served as a direct link between the Scholars needs and the Scholar Achievement team, and advocated for the Scholar Population

  • Created, disseminated and obtained Scholars opinions about the MERIT Programming, gaged the daily engagement of the scholars, and collaborated closely with Event Programmer and Vice President to coordinate engagement activities and events
