On Campus
Below are all the organizations I participated in on campus at Baltimore City College High School and Spelman College.

01
Robotics Club at Baltimore City College
I participated in City Wide Competitions where we battled against other schools’ robots.
I coded the robot; wrote code in order for the robot to move forward, backward, left and right and lift arms and turn around.
02
Student Ambassador at Baltimore City College
I mentored prospective students and encouraged them to attend my institution. I assisted in activities like ice-breakers, setting up club tables, and student Q&A panel, and conducted
campus tours. I also supported Student Life & Leadership department events (Including, but not limited to: Open Houses, Preview Days, and Shadow Days). I also met and greeted prospective students, families, alumni, and special guests, and provided assistance in the
main office.

03

Event Planning Committee at Baltimore City College
I researched the necessary information for events including but not limited to costs, fundraising, venues, materials, and time frames. I calculated coast of events and created timelines for the events. I created posters and promotions for events and reached out to organizations that we may need resources
from, and I also decorated and set up events and cleaned up afterwards.
04
Sisters Keeping It Real Through Service (S.K.I.R.T.S.)
I am a member of the Internals Committee. I am responsible for planning events for S.K.I.R.T.S members, fostering sisterhood in the organization through our creative events, sharing ideas, and helping carry out all parts of event planning.

05

AUC Baltimore Club
Within this organization, I met other students that attend schools in the AUC that are from my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. I am responsible for community service within the AUC and greater Baltimore community, and educating those in Baltimore about the AUC.
06
Minority Association for Pre-Medical Students (MAPS)
MAPS represents the undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students of SNMA (Student National Medical Association). MAPS has a national mission of representing students interested in health fields who are underrepresented. Through community service & dedication to eliminating ethnic health disparities, I am apart of an organization that strives to provide members and those around us with a larger sense of being. Spelman’s MAPS chapter will strive to create and maintain a mentorship program with many health professionals, provide a different look into various health professions, educate students and the West End community on public health initiatives and invite unity among pre-health students and those in other disciplines.

07
Health Careers Program

The program serves as a repository of information. They coordinate visits to healthcare facilities and professional schools, schedule on-campus visits for lectures and recruitment personnel, and assist students in identifying facilities where they may participate in academic enrichment/research activities during the academic years and summers. The Health Careers Program provides additional opportunities such as:
-
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Training
-
First Aid/CPR Certification
-
Professional and Speech Workshops
-
Spelman Women in Science and Health Shadowing Program (WISH)
-
Development of Professional Schools Articulation Agreements
-
Professional Schools Application Workshops (Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, etc.)
-
Networking and Leadership opportunities
08
Ford First Gen Program
The program pairs first-year students with a first gen junior who serves as a peer mentor. I participate in biweekly seminars, faculty engagement sessions, and monthly off-campus excursions
